09 — The Gate: a ladder, not a score

After this lesson you will be able to name the three outcomes and say why there is no fourth, explain what "first match wins" buys and what it costs a person reading a year of records, give the argument behind each ordering in the ladder that carries one, state in one sentence the argument that three of the rules share and that no stake level could replace, predict which reason a change trips when four rules are true at once, say what makes a rung of the ladder unreachable, say what an executed walk of the ladder does not prove, and say what has to be true of a sentence before anything can check it.
